Born in Brussels, Vincent Heymans has a degree in art history and archaeology and a Phd.He directs the Historical Heritage Unit of the City of Brussels, in charge of the management and enhancement of architectural heritage; he is administrator and scientific director of the archaeological site of Coudenberg, and is a member of the Royal Commission of Monuments and Sites of the Brussels-Capital Region.
In addition, he teaches history of architecture at the ULB , ENSAV La Cambre and Ecole supérieure des Arts of Mons. He has many publications to his credit, mainly in the field of the history of architecture and heritage conservation.
