The bric-a-brac sale on a sunny day

Modestly speaking, our annual bric-a-brac sale was a success. The weather was on our side, and the decision to move the date from October to September in order to increase the chances of favourable weather was the right one.

Of course, the crucial element, as is the case every year, was the organisation. The months of preparation by the Groupe de Travail Fêtes, under the guidance of Licinia, allowed us to tick all the necessary boxes. This included, at the last minute, securing the installation of a drinking water fountain by Vivaqua. Despite our concerns about rain, we had a heatwave. In total, 88 of spaces had been allocated, and even though all the ‘sellers’ would have preferred to set up in the shade of a tree, there was a minimum minimorum of frustration. Above all, this bric-a-brac sale was an additional opportunity to realize our luck in living in a much livelier and more diverse neighborhood than we often believe. A true Tower of Babel – and full of young families.
